I’ve been working with the Blue State London team as a Freelance Project Manager since May 2022 working predominantly across UNICEF and various different UNHCR markets (HQ, UK, Germany, Spain, Greece, Canada, Romania, Italy, Brazil, Switzerland, and Denmark).
I’ve worked across a range of projects spanning paid media campaigns, donor development projects, test and learn projects, developing global programme toolkits, global propositions, UHNWI capital campaigns and research projects.
As Project Manager, I worked across multiple large international clients and managed all work streams alongside Heads of Departments. I created SOWs, budgets and resource plans ensuring projects were delivered within spec, on time, and in budget. As day-to-day point of contact for clients, I worked closely with them to provide timely updates and to ensure they were part of the overall process by leading kick off meetings and regular status updates.
This experience has allowed me to learn about the global fundraising landscape, understand how to engage donors in a range of ways, recognise the importance of iterative testing (particularly where engagement and retention are concerned) and truly get under the hood of how international NGOs can diversify their fundraising programmes. Furthermore, it gave me the opportunity to work across multiple difference work streams such as media, strategy, analytics, and creative in a way I hadn’t done before.
